The role of the QWWF is to assist in the promotion and development of sports affiliated with WAWA in Queensland. To enable this we will provide assistance where necessary to the divisions whose primary roles include;
- Administration of their respective divisions
- Develop the skills of competitors, coaches, competition officials, organisers and safety personnel
- Maintain a safe, fun, family friendly environment
- Promote fairness, ethical behaviour and good sportsmanship amongst members
- Promote and grow the sport
- Foster Junior Development
- Provide pathways for skiers to compete in elite level competitions
- Provide direction and support to clubs affiliated with the WAWA
- Maintain Membership of QSport
The Queensland Government is providing assistance to the QWWF and the divisions to enable the improvement in Governance and Administration activities in line with the Australian Sports Commission guidelines in “Game Plan” with a view to improving the overall delivery of our sporting activities.
